By now, you’re probably stocked up on the latest back to school frame styles for kids and teens. Now it’s time to promote! 

Create a (mini) space for social. Kids love to take selfies. Identify an area in your practice to create a back to school-themed photo area. You can even have your younger patients color and design a backdrop and props. Encourage your patients to snap a selfie, then share photos and videos on social media using the hashtags #backtoschool, #backtoschoolstyle, and #b2sfashion. You can even create your own practice-specific hashtag to make posts even easier to find.

Understand their needs. Chat with young patients about what they like to do when they’re not in school. If they play a sport, contact lenses may be a good option. Maybe they spend a lot of time at the computer, or playing video games. In that case, blue light protection may be something to consider. Here’s some tools to market blue light defense.

Offer a social media promotion. Looking to gain more followers on Facebook or Instagram? Remind parents to check out your pages for exclusive discounts and specials. This will incentivize them to follow your practice on social media. Then, offer promotions that are only found on your practice’s Facebook or Instagram pages.
