Winterize Your Eyes
TEACH YOUR PATIENTS HOW TO PROTECT THEIR EYES FROM THE ELEMENTS
The winter months make it the perfect time for you to share eye safety tips and dry eye remedies with your patients.
Educate on snow blindness. Do your patients know about snow blindness? Remind them about the importance of sunglasses, even on cloudy and cold days. Update your merchandising by showcasing sunwear that has UV protection, and take the opportunity to discuss light-reactive lenses, like SunSync Elite®. It is a great reminder for your patients to stay prepared for the dangers.
Discuss dry eyes this winter. Talk to your patients about dry air and the impact it can have on eye health. Inform them about the effects of indoor heating and cold winds. Encourage the proper eyewear for snow sports and provide tips on how to prevent eye discomfort during the winter months.
