October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
According to the American Cancer Society, about 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of their lifetime. You can help increase awareness of both genetic and lifestyle-related risk factors, and the importance of screenings and early detection.

Get involved. Sign up your practice staff to participate in or donate to a local event, such as a Susan G. Komen sponsored 5k run/walk. Invite your patients to join too!

Go pink. Choose a day in October for your practice staff to wear pink in the office. Consider including a giveaway for patients after their exam, such as a pink sticker or ribbon.

Download, send, and post. Get your patients and followers to “Think Pink” with these professionally-designed breast cancer awareness campaign materials.
