A DIY photo spot in your practice is a great opportunity to promote your practice and it may be easier than you think. Consider it for your next trunk show, event, or even make it available year-round. Here’s some easy tips to get shared.

Identify a well-lit location in the practice.  Have an empty wall that would be perfect for capturing photos? Claim it as your photoshoot spot and start brainstorming ways to spice it up. Create a backdrop that ties into your event’s theme or leave it up during a certain time of year (hello, Spring!) or a holiday. Click here for some inspiration. 

Test the waters.  Before creating a dedicated photo area, you can also consider an easy, portable photo prop. Consider a large frame or silly hats and phrases that patients can pose with. You can even create or purchase some kid-friendly props, too, for your younger patients. They may get curious and start posing!

Encourage patients to share. If a patient used their own mobile device to capture and share their selfies, remind them (verbally or written) to ‘check-in’ to your practice on social media. This will increase your visibility online because their friends and followers will be able to see the post and see where your patient got their awesome new frames.
